Oops, we missed Yorkshire Pudding Day! 😱

Don't worry, though, every day can be Yorkshire Pudding Day with this tried and tested recipe! 😉

NPG's Favourite Yorkshire Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 140g plain flour
  • 4 medium eggs
  • 280ml semi-skimmed milk
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • Beef dripping or vegetable oil for cooking

Method:

  1. Sift the flour into a bowl and make a well in the centre.
  2. Crack the eggs into the well and whisk together, gradually incorporating the flour.
  3. Slowly whisk in the milk until you have a smooth batter. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Rest the batter in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight).
  5. Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan/gas mark 7).
  6. Place a tablespoon of beef dripping or oil into each hole of a Yorkshire pudding tin or muffin tin and heat in the oven for 10 minutes until sizzling hot.
  7. Carefully remove the tin from the oven and quickly pour the batter into the hot oil.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the puddings are risen and golden brown.
  9. Serve immediately with your favourite roast dinner or enjoy as a snack with your favourite toppings.
