- 280ml semi-skimmed milk
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- Beef dripping or vegetable oil for cooking
Method:
- Sift the flour into a bowl and make a well in the centre.

- Slowly whisk in the milk until you have a smooth batter. Season with salt and pepper.
- Rest the batter in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight).
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan/gas mark 7).
- Place a tablespoon of beef dripping or oil into each hole of a Yorkshire pudding tin or muffin tin and heat in the oven for 10 minutes until sizzling hot.
- Carefully remove the tin from the oven and quickly pour the batter into the hot oil.
- Return to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the puddings are risen and golden brown.
- Serve immediately with your favourite roast dinner or enjoy as a snack with your favourite toppings.
